Project background

The customer designed a 12L rigid flex pcb. 

As the final product of the customer is a head-mounted product, it will have high requirements on the weight and bending performance of the product.

As the product is used in medical surgery, it also has very high requirements on the quality of the product. The supplier of the product required by the customer must have ISO13485 medical certification.

Project challenge

  •  The customer is in urgent need of sample testing as soon as possible, and the longest time they can give to produce the light plate is 3-4 weeks.
  • The customer has high requirements for bending but the thickness of multilayer of flex pcb laminated together is too thick.

How to serve?

1  The engineer team came together to discuss how to improve the flexibility performance of the felx part, how to optimize the production process, and reduce the probability of scrap risk. We proposed that need to use the loose leaf design to improve the flex pcb flexibility.

2  Test bending performance with similar products in advance to make sure there are no problems with dynamic bending 48 hours at least.

3  Provide quick turn service, arrange production as a priority.

4  Professional sales assistant follow up the order status, if there’s any issues, we will feedback to customer immediately. If there’s no any special problems, we will also update the order process for customer twice a week at least.

Results and Benefits

The sample of the customer sample was very successful, and the production was completed within 2 weeks. In the production process, there was no scrap of one piece and no x-out board. For customers to get more time for sample testing, to ensure the release of new products, to help customers occupy more market share in advance.
